This guide walks you through the first actions every new user takes: creating an account, starting a Business Build, and entering the Discovery phase. You can complete the initial setup in a few minutes and return to your project at any time.

Before you begin

You need an active EBB subscription with at least one available Business Build on your account. Your build balance appears on the Billing page inside the app. If you are new, choose a plan during signup to receive your first allocation.

Have a clear topic in mind — what you want to teach or share — and a rough sense of who your reader is. You do not need a finished outline; Discovery will guide you through the questions.

Six steps to your first build

Follow these steps in order. Each step links to detailed documentation for that part of the workflow.

Estimated time: 5 minutes to reach Discovery

  1. Create Account Sign up at eBook Business Builder and confirm your email. Sign in to open your workspace.
  2. Create First Business Open My Business Builds and start a new build. One Business Build is consumed when you commit your project after payment.
  3. Complete Discovery Answer the guided questions about your topic, audience, transformation, and business goals. Take your time — these answers shape everything that follows.
  4. Review Opportunity Read the strategic analysis and advisor insights generated from your Discovery answers. Confirm your direction before continuing.
  5. Build Blueprint Review your business snapshot, chapter plan, and ecosystem roadmap. This is your committed business plan inside EBB.
  6. Generate Your Business Proceed into Writing to generate your manuscript, then continue through Cover & Brand, Publishing, Business Assets, and Launch Marketing.
Tip You do not need to finish all six steps in one session. EBB saves your project after each phase. Return via My Business Builds and select Continue on your project row.

Finding your projects later

All active Business Builds appear on the My Business Builds page in your workspace sidebar. Each row shows your project title, a short description, and your current phase.

Select Continue to resume where you left off. The platform opens the correct phase automatically based on your saved progress. You can work on one build at a time or switch between builds from the same page.

Your Business Build balance and monthly allocation are visible on the Billing page. Unused builds roll over to the next billing period.
