This guide describes the full EBB workflow from your first login through launching a completed business. Each phase has its own detailed documentation — use this page as your map before diving into individual guides.
Workflow overview
A Business Build is a single project that moves through eight sequential phases. Early phases focus on strategy — capturing your intent and validating your positioning. Middle phases produce your ebook, cover, and publishing files. Later phases generate business and marketing assets to help you launch.
You review and approve key outputs at each stage. The platform uses your confirmed answers and plans as the source of truth for everything generated downstream, so later phases stay consistent with your original direction.

- Phase 1 — Discovery Define your business foundation You answer guided questions about your topic, target audience, reader transformation, pain points, and business goals. Discovery establishes the raw inputs that every later phase builds upon.
- Phase 2 — Opportunity Validate your market direction EBB analyses your Discovery answers and presents strategic insights — audience positioning, competitive context, and advisor recommendations. You review this analysis before committing to a blueprint.
- Phase 3 — Blueprint Confirm your business plan Your business snapshot, chapter framework, transformation roadmap, and ecosystem plan are generated and presented for review. The Blueprint is the committed plan for your ebook and surrounding business.
- Phase 4 — Writing Generate your manuscript Your complete ebook is generated chapter by chapter based on the Blueprint. You can read, review, and export the manuscript when generation finishes.
- Phase 5 — Cover & Brand Create your visual identity EBB produces cover artwork and a brand presentation aligned with your book title, audience, and positioning. Your cover is composited with title and author typography.
- Phase 6 — Publishing Prepare publishing files Export-ready files are prepared for distribution platforms. This phase focuses on formats and metadata needed to publish your ebook.
- Phase 7 — Business Assets Generate supporting materials Landing pages, lead magnets, email sequences, and related business materials are created to support your launch. These assets connect your ebook to a broader business ecosystem.
- Phase 8 — Launch Marketing Launch your business Marketing guidance and go-live tools help you introduce your finished business to readers. This phase focuses on execution rather than creation.
After launch
When you finish a Business Build, your project remains in My Business Builds for reference and export. Starting another business requires an available build on your account — see Business Builds Explained for how allocations and balances work.
